Looking for a way to make your charcuterie board personalized for your event?

I have a simple and easy idea that can easily take a simple & plain piece of brie and turn it into a statement piece of your board! Customize your board for any party, celebration, or holiday!  All you need is a cookie cutter, jam, and a wheel of brie!

First off, pick your cookie cutter! Have fun with it! Pick a shape that stands out and goes with the theme of your event! Some of my favorite cookie cutters we have used are stars, cacti, hearts, christmas trees, graduation caps, and so much more! You can also include letters or numbers as well! I attached a link below for a cookie cutter pack below, as well as a list of some of my favorite cookie cutter sets!!

To make your cutout, center your cookie cutter in the middle of your brie. You want to make sure your cookie cutter is not too large, you don’t want it touching the edges of the brie. Keep it in the center  and leave at least an inch border all the way around the shape.   If the cutter is too close to the edge, things can get tricky. Press your cookie cutter into the brie about 1/2 inch and make sure to make a clean cut! Slowly remove the cookie cutter, then use a paring knife or a butterknife to remove the inside cutout. If any of the edges aren’t “clean”, you can use the paring knife to sharpen the look of the shape.  Next, fill the exposed area with jam! I use our homemade habanero jam whenever I do brie cutouts! I always use the most vibrant color jam that I have to really make the cut pop! You could also use some sort of small fruit, like pomegranate seeds!

Make sure to go slow and steady! Take your time as you make your cutout to ensure that the correct shape is made with the cookie cutter!

Pro tip: Make sure your brie is cold and freshly out of the fridge! It makes it easier to cut and it helps ensure that your cut is clear, so your guests know exactly what the cut is meant to be!
