Valentine’s Day is definitely one of the best holidays to celebrate, and I absolutely LOVE all of the fun red and pink decor that comes with the season! This year, we had so much fun shopping for some fun Valentine’s Day options for our boards & I can’t wait to share our finds with you!

When deciding what kind of board you want to build for Valentine’s Day, you have two great options that are great for larger gatherings, like Galentine’s Day parties or just dinner for two! The easiest option, is taking the same steps and shopping list that you would use to build a traditional charcuterie board, and then adding some fun garnishes and touches to make it unique for the holiday (I’ll share these finds at the end! 😉 ) Our other great option is a dessert Valentine’s board! These are SO fun and there is so much room for creativity with these! Whatever board you end up choosing will be great and there is so much to work with for either of them!

I am excited to share some of my personal favorite finds with you today if you are interested in learning my tips and tricks on how to build a charcuterie board click HERE! We want you to feel comfortable and confident when you are hosting your next event! Now, let’s get started! The first place I check every year for fun Valentine’s Day goodies is Trader Joe’s! You have to make sure you go early, because when they sell out, they typically don’t restock – and these items are all fan favorites, so trust me, run don’t walk to your nearest Trader Joes!! 💖

Dark Chocolate Mini Heart Cookies with Sprinkles

These rich shortbread cookies are not only delicious and adorable, but they are also so inexpensive. We use these as a medium sized item on our dessert board, but we also use them as garnishes on our traditional boards during the Valentine’s season!

Jelly Bean Hearts

I am typically not a huge fan of jelly beans, but these are too cute not to eat! For only 0.99 cents a pack, these mini hearts make a great addition to either your dessert board, or to use as a garnish on your traditional charcuterie board!

Belgian Chocolate Hearts

These Belgian Chocolate Truffle Hearts are a chocolate lover’s dream, and they make a great addition to any kind of charcuterie board!

XOXO Gummies

These are my absolute FAVORITE! Trader Joes sells different gummies through the year, but the X and O one’s are such a cute, simple thing to add to either a traditional or dessert board, and everyone loves them! Make sure to snag these when you see them, because they sell out fast!

Raspberry Heart Shortbread Cookies

These cookies would make the best addition to a Valentine’s dessert board, they are a great size, and help fill up space on your board!

Pink & White Cookies

Most Trader Joe’s locations sell these pink and white shortbread cookies year round, but they are especially perfect for Valentine’s charcuterie boards! These cookies are fan favorites for kids to adults, so make sure to grab a box or two for your next dessert board!

Seasonal Candy:

Like Trader Joes, many grocery stores like Sprouts carry bulk candy, and often they will add seasonal candies to their selection. From late January to mid-February, keep your eyes out for some fun red, white, and pink candies. Any of these candies make great garnishes for either a traditional or dessert charcuterie board, and help fill in any little spaces left in your board after you’re done building it!

Sweethearts Conversation Hearts

Okay, I can’t be the only one who absolutely LOVES these, like when January rolls around, I STOCK UP! They bring back so many good memories of bringing valentines to share in class in elementary school, so I love them!! Not only are these so iconic for Valentine’s Day, but their cute sayings and heart shape are perfect for your board!
